After working in the Monterey and Carmel area for five years Courtney decided it was time for a change and moved to Hollywood. Continued advanced Sassoon education has made Courtney an icon among stylists in the Monterey, Carmel, and Los Angeles area.

Maryam attended cosmetology school in NYC in 1984. She started working at Gerard Bollie Hair salon as an assistant, which was one of the very few best salons in NYC, catering to very high end clients, like Barbara Streisand, the Vanderbilt’s, Ralph Lauren, the Stienbergs and Diana Ross…to name a few. Shortly after starting there, Gerard chose Maryam to be his assistant. She learned a lot from him over the next three years and had to opportunity to work on photo shoots for Vogue and WWD magazines.
After his Death, I moved to color room and started assisting Jim Conte, a very famous colorist . Working with Jim was another blessing for me to learn from the best.
I left Gerard Bollie Salon after 6 years of assisting the best in the industry in the 80’s. I started working as a colorist in West Village in Clem Lue Yat Salon, Clem was a master in Extension work and he was one of the first who introduced extensions in USA. I did lots of color during the two years that i was there working and matching extension hair color to clients and vice versa.
I moved to LA in 1996 and began to work for a number of salons, and even owned my own Salon before moving overseas to Dubai. When I returned I jumped right back into work and have been working at the NoHo Hair Salon since Sep 2015.
